How to get to Montana by:

Bergen central bus station called Bystasjonen is located next to the railway station.  From there You will get to Montana by local bus nr. 31. To find the bus stop for bus 31 – go past the railway station further up to the street called Kong Oscars gate. Turn right again and walk along the street past the old City Gate. Bus stop on the right hand side of the street has a time schedule for bus number 31 Lægdene. The bus ride to Montana takes about 15-20 minutes. Don’t hesitate to ask the driver to tell you when to go off (the bus stop is about 200 meters from the youth hostel). The last bus leaves the city centre between midnight and 01:00 depending on week day and time of the year. You can check the timetable on the local transportation website skyss.no

If you prefer walking all the way from downtown to the hostel, it will take you 50 min: take the shortcut past the Ulriken cable car station instead of walking the long route along the highway.

From Voss: Follow E16 towards Bergen. After approximately 85 km (at Ulset) your road will be E39. After the 3km long tunnel, "Fløyfjellstunnelen" choose the right hand lane marked "Stavanger". After a few hundred meters this leads you onto a multilane street where you should get to the farthest left lane as soon as possible. Keep left up to the traffic lights and turn left into Ibsens gate. Follow this street to its end - where you turn right onto road number 585. At the first hilltop, after about 1/2 - 1 km, you'll see a sign pointing to Montana. Turn left and follow signs all the way to the youth hostel.

From City Centre: follow Kong Oscars gate, Road 585 southwards. After driving through the tunnel in Haukeland hospital area you soon get to a hilltop where you see a sign pointing to Montana. Follow the signs until you get here.

The airport bus journey to the city centre takes about 40 minutes. Go off at the fish market. Local bus 31 will bring you from downtown to Montana. Around the corner from fish market you will find a shopping centre Xhibition –this is where bus stop for 31 bus is located. The bus ride to Montana takes about 15-20 minutes.
